Introducing Our New Team Members

We are excited and proud to announce the news of two new highly skilled and dedicated employees who have recently joined the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity team. Their combined efforts will help us to advance our mission and serve our community even better.

Meet Terri Jeffries:

Terri will serve as our Director of Operations. She brings over 30 years of real estate experience as a veteran who’s worn just about every hat in the industry. She has owned and operated two well-known real estate franchises and was one of an 8-member team that designed and built a national real estate franchising brand from scratch that is thriving today. Terri received Broker of the Year in 2014 as well as many other industry awards and is recognized as leader in her field. Throughout her career, she has led several successful sales teams achieving multi millions in real estate sales. She is a short sale / REO expert, a licensed Pre-Licensing Instructor, a licensed CE Instructor, and certified to teach several NAR Designation Courses. Terri also served as a Board of Director for the Mainstreet Association of Realtors (the 5th largest Realtor Trade Association in the country). 

Over the past 4 years, Terri also proudly served on the Board of Directors for Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity. In her last position in the real estate industry, Terri played an integral role on the eXp Realty team who built ExpressOffers; a proprietary iBuying software platform that allows agents to connect their clients with institutional investors who buy in cash within a short time frame. She is a Mother of 3 adult children, 1 grandchild and loves to cook. Terri also owns Strawberries BBQ, a pop-up food truck that attends local events, caters and supports community events.

When asked why she wanted to join the Habitat team, Terri replied, “Affordable housing is in my blood, I have spent my entire working life on helping folks achieve their dream of homeownership. With Habitat for Humanity, I am in complete alignment with the organization’s mission and feel that my expertise in the real estate industry will help forward the mission of affordable homeownership. My fire has been reignited and I’m thrilled to be part of this organization.”

Meet Shauna L. Weatherspoon:

Shauna will serve as our Director of Community Development. She is the dynamic force behind community development who brings an electrifying energy forged through two decades of real estate prowess, influential leadership, and trusted advisory roles. 

With an extensive knowledge of today’s housing market & real estate expertise,  she’s not just passionate – she’s a business leader & executive dedicated to empowering communities on a local and global scale, fostering affordable housing & sustainable living for all families.

Shauna has been recognized as a Five Star Real Estate Professional and previously owned & operated MAST Realty Group & MAST Home Inspections. She is a trailblazer throughout the industry & loves to be actively serving all communities. Her commitment goes beyond business, as she proudly served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity and as the former Executive Director of the Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce in IL. 

In 2016, Shauna’s impact reached new heights, earning her local recognition as an “Influential Woman in Business” in the Daily Herald Business Ledger. Not stopping there, she is a two-time International Best-Selling Author of “Self Esteem & Empowerment for Women” and “Pure Wealth, 26 Ways of Crazy Profitability,” showcasing her commitment to uplifting others. 

Currently, she resides in the western suburbs of IL with her amazing husband, Michael, and their five beautiful children and three dogs, Shauna’s journey is a testament to the bright future she envisions for impacting families and communities alike.
