Intern Program
Pursuing An Internship
Our Business Communications internships are available to college, university, trade school, or graduate school students. These internships are offered on a semester basis and candidates must be 18 years or older to apply.
Our internship program offers students the chance to volunteer in a variety of roles, including marketing, advertising, journalism, and video technology. Working alongside our staff members and homeowners, interns will assist in creating marketing materials such as:
- Advertisements
- Photography& Video
- Conduct Interviews
- Google Technology
- Social Media
- Develop & Execute a Fundraising Event
Our internship program provides students with the opportunity to gain practical work experience and acquire new skills while pursuing their degree. Additionally, with the approval of their academic institution, interns can use their experience to earn course-work credit. During the internship, it is the intern’s responsibility to facilitate communication between their academic institution and our Internship Program Coordinator, Barb Zegiel.
To get started, create a profile and upload your resume at Handshake. Handshake partners with schools and employers and gives you the access to apply for internships and jobs not available anywhere else. Search internships on Handshake for Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity, submit your resume and Barb will then get in touch with you to discuss your resume and the possibilities of an internship with us. Further questions about the program should be directed to Barb Zegiel at: b.zegiel@foxvalleyhabitat.org.
